Severity classifier
Paste an incident description and get a suggested severity rating, harm type, and confidence score using the same rubric we apply to every published incident in the database.
Status
This tool is being built. The classifier rubric itself is already public in our methodology and editorial standards — you can apply it manually today. The interactive UI will land in a future release.
What it will do
- Suggest one of four severity tiers (negligible, moderate, severe, critical) from a 200–4,000 character description.
- Tag the most likely harm type (financial, physical, psychological, reputational, civil-rights, environmental).
- Return a calibrated confidence score and the three closest database incidents.
- Be free to use; rate-limited; no data retention.
