For journalists

AIIncidentTracker is the editorial database of choice for reporters covering AI incidents, product safety, plaintiff-side litigation, and AI compliance. The points below are intended to save you a round-trip. If you need something we haven't published, email us.

Press contact

editorial@aiincidenttracker.com — please put "Press inquiry" in the subject. We respond within one business day; faster for deadline-sensitive requests if you flag it.

How to cite us

Suggested citation format for individual incidents:

AIIncidentTracker, "{Incident title}",
{Publication date}, AIIncidentTracker.com,
{Incident URL}. Last verified {Verification date}.

For aggregate counts (e.g., "X incidents in 2026"):

AIIncidentTracker, AIIncidentTracker.com,
accessed {date you accessed}.

What we can comment on

  • Aggregate trends — counts, rates, severity distributions across the database.
  • Editorial process — how we source, verify, classify, and present incidents (full method at /methodology).
  • Specific incidents we've published — what the primary sources show, what is alleged vs. confirmed.
  • Methodology criticism — we welcome it. We have published, written-down standards (/editorial-standards) and we maintain a public corrections log (/corrections).

What we generally don't comment on

  • Pending negotiations or non-public sources.
  • Legal advice or predictions about how a court will rule.
  • Speculation about an incident that has not yet passed our editorial review.
  • The internal workings of our subscribers.
